SISTER GARDEN

A Monthly Gathering for Women to Connect

Our Mission:
We live in a world where we are often asked to conform to societal norms and ideas. We are expected to sensor ourselves, choose our words carefully, and appeal to a greater audience. This circle intends to be a space where these ideals do not exist, where women are not only encouraged to speak their truth, but held safely by other women while doing so.
*
Sister Garden hopes to facilitate a space of non-judgment and healing for all female embodied persons. A place where we as a community create a space that supports connection, sharing of ourselves, creation, and exploration. This container holds space for us to break our silence and fears, and cultivate an environment that fosters vulnerability, care, and honesty

My name is Kimberley and I have been attending and helping co-lead this circle for the past four years. Professionally, I am a social worker with a creative art therapy background. This circle has helped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I have grown to understand myself more intimately and learned how to share my thoughts and feelings with others in an open and authentic way. Most importantly, I have learned how to be vulnerable. How to dig deep and not be afraid of my dark corners. I highly value this space and am so excited to share it with other women.

My name is Tanya, and I am an artist, educator, and lover of clay, storytelling, and healing. Through practices such as Tarot, mask-making, and community gathering, I explore the stories that shape us and the wisdom that emerges through self-discovery. For the past ten years, I have helped host and co-lead women's circles, where guided by the glow of the candle I have had the privilege of witnessing the courage, vulnerability, and resilience of others while finding my own voice in return. These personal experiences continue to inspire my artwork and deepen my belief in the healing power of creativity, connection, and shared stories.
